I'm a builder. For nearly a decade I've been deep in early-stage startups - finding problems worth solving, figuring out what to build and why, and staying close enough to the detail that strategy never drifts from reality.
Most recently I was Product Lead at Risk Ledger, where I joined as the fourth hire and helped scale from pre-product to £8M+ ARR, with 150+ enterprise clients. I drove the hiring of our first designers and PMs, shaped how the product team worked, and made sure the right people had the right context to make good decisions quickly. I think the most interesting work happens before the playbook exists - when there's more to figure out than there is to follow.
Right now I'm travelling with my partner (also called Dan) and building with AI - follow our journey at @TwoDansOffTrack.
Some things I've been thinking and writing about:
- The Shape of Me
- On Trust and Momentum
- When Meetings Replace Momentum
- Making the Invisible, Visible
- Tech Debt, Discovery Debt
- From Assumptions to Momentum
- The Guilt of Knowing
